SPIGA was established in 1957, in Genoa (Italy), a city with an ancient tradition for manufacturing materials based on natural oils and fats and their by-products, specializing in the production of natural glycerine and from the end of 2007, SPIGA has started in his Italian plant, the production of the Polyglycerol, exclusively obtained by polycondensation of Natural Refined Kosher grade and GMO-free Glycerine.

Polyglycerin
From the second half of 2007 SPIGA started the production of Pure Vegetable Polyglycerin. These products are exclusively obtained by polycondensation of Kosher grade and GMO-free Natural Refined Glycerine. Our Polyglycerin are suitable for food emulsifier production and allow the manufacture of esters in line with 98/86/EC specifications (E475, E476).

Ecocert Italia Certification
On February 2009, Spiga Nord obtained from ECOCERT ITALIA the Certification of "raw materials of natural origin" for the cosmetics products.
